American Turf Grass Corporation is a holding of
James C. Justice Company, a family owned corporation. The Justice family
owns and operates sod farms in North Carolina and South Carolina. The
North Carolina sod operation consists of over 600 acres of turf grasses
grown on a rich mineral- organic soil. Found in the flat coastal plains
of northeastern North Carolina, this soil type provides a fertile medium
in which to produce the very highest quality of sod. The South Carolina
farm is located in the northeastern area of the state. Presently
producing 700 acres of warm season grasses, the intent is to produce sod
on the entire 2300 acres tract of land. American Turf Grass Corporation
is able to supply your sod needs. With both locations producing high
quality products, American Turf Grass Corporation can service the
entire states of North Carolina and South Carolina as well as parts of
Virginia and Georgia.
As a State-Certified Sod Producer,
American Turf Grass Corporation uses
modern production techniques, including a high-volume irrigation system.
Along with the outstanding quality of the
soil, this provides us with the ability to produce an exceptionally
dense, weed-free sod that meets and exceeds the requirements for
"Certified Sod" by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and
Consumer Services. This certification assures the consumer that the
grasses sold are genetically pure, weed free, and of the highest quality
available.
